Benefits to the Injured Worker

Set Goals and Expectation
Part of guiding our clients to a better path falls on the responsibility of helping them set goals to meet achievable expectations. We believe that every injured worker can overcome this devastating job injury if that is their goal. The results will come from the effort and desire they invest in. Ps Vocational Consulting gives clear objectives and guidelines to reach those goals. We identify any obstacles that can disrupt the process and ensure they are held accountable for their actions.

The key aim of vocational research is to help people re-entering the workforce to discover the areas in which they are strong and need no further learning or areas in which they need support, re learning, or proper training. Once these areas are discovered, the path to a career becomes clear.

Advantages of working with us:

Successful Communication- Effective communication between our counselors and the injured workers helps create an atmosphere for trust and a continuous partnership that is focused on their retraining or skill enhancement efforts. Ps Vocational Consulting believes that being a good listener is the leading way to be a great communicator.

Level of Engagement – When an Injured Worker becomes engaged by their counselor they become more productive in their training. Ps Vocational Consulting cares for our clients and simply by knowing someone is there to help them meet their goals is a crucial part that can only be established with our one one one meetings.

Discuss Deadlines – Deadlines eliminate confusion and force all parties working together to be up to speed with the process. We apply this to schools , the injured worker , insurance companies and us. Knowing when your voucher expires, when you start a class, or even when payments will be made by the claims adjuster is important so we all track our deadlines and measure our progress.

SJDB Vouchers

The Supplemental Job Displacement Benefit (SJDB) comes in the form of a non-transferable voucher that can be used to pay for educational retraining or skill enhancement at state-approved or accredited schools.

Return-to-Work Supplement Program

Employees injured on or after January 1, 2013, who have received a SJDB  voucher may also qualify for an additional one-time $5,000 payment.
